Q: I’ve just finished my pre-university and am about to start university in September. Am I eligible to apply?
A: Yes, as long as you haven’t started on the undergraduate program, you’re eligible to apply.
Q: Can I submit my application in stages, i.e register first then submit my blog url and forms later?
A: Yes, you can do that. We recommend you register first and get your username and password. Then work on your documents and blog later. Please ensure everything is completed and submitted before the deadline of 8.08pm, Friday, August 8, 2008.
Q: I have finished registration, obtained my username and password, submitted my blog but can’t complete the Spark! Passport in time. Will my application still be eligible?
A: Under normal circumstances, an application submitted without the Spark! Passport will be considered incomplete and the blog will not be evaluated for selection.
However, if there are pressing circumstances that you think will cause you to miss the deadline, please call Spark! Central before the deadline and talk to us and we’ll see what we can do.
Q: Can I just submit the Spark! Passport after I’ve been selected?
A: We’re afraid you can’t do that. We need to know before we evaluate your blog whether you have your school and parents’ consent to join Spark! So please complete the Spark! Passport -sorry this is just one of the necessary evils of life!!
Q: Eeeeek!! I have forgotten my username and password. Can I just register again?
A: Sorry you can’t. The system allows each participant to only register once and your NRIC number will be your unique identity. You can’t use it to register again.
If you’ve forgotten your password-don’t fret; just call us at Spark! Central and we’ ll see how we can help you. It won’t be the end of the world!
Q: Please help! I’m desperate to attend but I don’t have a clue about blogging . I promise I am daring, different and dynamic. Can I just do a scrapbook instead (I am very artisitic) and courier it to you? Email? What’s that?
A: Well, if you’re e reading this, then you’re e not so technologically challenged! We appreciate that you’re artistic but part of being daring, dynamic and different is exploring new things in life. Blogging is easy, just follow the links and it’s free. Explore, l earn, innovate. We await your entry!!

Q: What is the criteria for the blog evaluation?
A: To include the Spark! elements found in “Pick me! Pick me!” and by being the most creative you. We’re simply looking for unique, creative youth who dare to be different in their approach to the world around them.
Q: How much does it cost to attend Spark!?
A: Nothing. Spark! is a FREE program for participants! Even your transportation to get to Spark! is covered! Of course you may want to bring a small amount of pocket money to cover some of your personal needs and expenses such as toiletries etc.
Q: I’m from Sabah/Sarawak/outside Klang Valley. If I’m selected, will all my transportation including flights be paid for?
A: Yes of course. If you’re selected because you have the special “spark” , we’ll help get you here and that will include covering all your transportation and flight costs.
Q: Yaaay!!’ve e been picked . What do I need to bring along for Spark!?
A: We’ll inform you once you’re picked on what you need to bring with you.
Q: I’m not using a DiGi line, will I be disqualified?
A: No way! We want to meet expressive and creative youth and we don’t mind which network you belong to!
Q: Am I allowed to submit more than one entry/blog?
A: You’ll only be allowed to register once. You can only submit 1 blog url for evaluation and we recommend that you select the blog that best represents you and fulfils the requirements of the entry blog.
Q: I already have an existing blog. Do I have to create a new blog?
A: You don’t have to create a new blog. Just create a Spark! entry page/section in your existing blog and include contents as required in the application and submit the url. We will be happy to get to know you better.
Q: What will I get if I am among 60 youth selected? Got free handphone ah?
A: You will get the opportunity to participate in Spark! the program and meet other like- minded youth and mentors who will take you through a fun 5-day journey of activities and workshops. How much you want to empower yourself from it is entirely up to you. We have some goodies for you. but that’s a secret and we’re not telling!
Q: What about my blog? Do I abandon it after that?
A: Your entry blog will be the start of your Spark! journey with us. We’ll provide you with plenty of opportunities to update and maintain your blog during and after the program!
